MWCC participates in the VI Ibero-American Congress of Engineering and Technology-CIBITEC, organised by the Association of Industrial Engineers of Madrid. CIBITEC 2024 addressed the union between industry, technology and sustainability. More than 300 professionals, 250 entities and more than 3,500 people participated in this Congress, which had a programme that included 15 high-level thematic panels and three additional events. It addressed the energy transition and smart cities, as well as the scarcity of resources, innovation and talent, strategic autonomy, decarbonisation of industry and technological transformation and entrepreneurship in Ibero-America, among others.

MWCC participated in the Sustainable Construction and Rehabilitation round table, in which David Garcia Nuñez, president of MWCC, explained the importance of innovation and digitalisation to transform the sector. Digitalisation and artificial intelligence are opening up possibilities for greater efficiency in companies and in the economy. Industry must be sustainable to obtain its licence to operate, using the best available techniques to produce more with fewer resources and generate fewer emissions and waste. Decarbonisation is a demand from society and a commitment from industry to generate less CO₂ emissions and have a lower impact on climate change.
