MWCC together with ICEX have organised today the conference ‘Sustainable Urban Development: Success stories of Spanish companies and cities’, a meeting that brought together more than 70 representatives of companies, municipalities, public and private entities to analyse the latest advances and share experiences in the field of sustainable urban development.

The conference consisted of four round tables in which topics such as sustainable and technologically advanced urban transformation projects, strategy and sustainable urban development, measures for sustainable urban development, financing of regeneration projects and recovery of green areas were discussed.

The round tables were attended by representatives of leading companies in the sector, such as the Director of Transport at EMT Madrid and the Solution Manager at Lacroix, as well as pioneering municipalities such as Malaga, Alcobendas and Las Rozas.

During the conference, the importance of public-private collaboration to promote sustainable urban development projects was highlighted, as well as the need to continue investing in innovation and technology. It was emphasised that Spanish cities are at the forefront of sustainable urban development, and that they have great potential to become international benchmarks in this field.
