With the intention of publicly reinforcing the value of its commitment to the United Nations 2030 Agenda, MWCC joins the #ODSporbandera campaign launched by the UN Global Compact Spain. The campaign is part of the international initiative #Togetherforthesdgs promoted by the UN Global Compact in which several countries around the world participate. The objective of this is for different global actors to stage their commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the date on which they reach the halfway point of their validity.

In this way, the flag of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) rises as a powerful emblem, representing the commitment to a sustainable and prosperous future for all. A gesture independent of nationality, affiliation or position, which seeks to synchronize efforts and goals, uniting a commitment much greater than everything that separates us. A flag that encourages us to move forward together

By raising this flag, MWCC is committed to achieving results, prioritizing the well-being of people and the planet. In this sense, a series of commitments and good practices have been established in line with its strategy.

In the words of David Garcia Nuñez, President of MWCC, “environmental, social and economic sustainability is a commitment that MWCC has adopted since our founding three years ago. The more than 187 public and private entities that make up us share values, vision our commitment to future generations.”

In June 2020, MWCC, in a pioneering way, joined the UN Global Compact initiative, the largest global sustainability initiative. Since the approval of the 2030 Agenda in 2015, in addition to its commitment to promoting the Ten Principles, it has worked to align its corporate management with the SDGs, where it finds new business opportunities, improves the relationship with its stakeholders and promotes innovation .

With this type of actions, the UN Global Compact Spain and its partner entities seek to contribute to the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals, work that, 7 years after reaching its deadline and with many goals still to be met, It is essential.
