MWCC participated in the Sweden-Spain bilateral meeting organised by Business Sweden and held on 24 and 25 November between Swedish and Spanish companies at the Swedish Ambassador's Residence in Madrid.

The aim of the meeting was to learn about the status, strategic vision and opportunities of the different projects in Madrid

MWCC participated in the opening ceremony and in various working sessions, which were attended by the Swedish Ambassador to Spain, H.E. Per-Arne Hjelmborn, representatives of the Community of Madrid and various Swedish companies from the innovation, energy, mobility and urban solutions sectors.

During the opening, the president of MWCC, David García Núñez, presented the organisation's ecosystem, highlighting MWCC's role as a platform that promotes public-private collaboration, attracts investment and positions Madrid internationally as a global hub for urban innovation.

In turn, together with the Community of Madrid and the Metropolis Foundation, the Innovation Lab and various urban development projects such as Madrid Nuevo Norte and Valdecarros were explained to institutions, leading Swedish companies and key players, consolidating bridges of collaboration and exploring new synergies for the future of our cities.

The session also included presentations on the Madrid vision, urban innovation strategies and a pitch of solutions from Swedish companies interested in contributing to the development of the various projects.

The various bilateral meetings provided a space for institutional and business networking, allowing for the exploration of future avenues of cooperation between Madrid and Sweden.

At MWCC, we welcome this type of initiative that promotes international exchange and the construction of more sustainable, connected and innovative cities, with the aim of continuing to position Madrid as an international benchmark.
