It is an initiative that aims to turn the city of Madrid and its region into a global benchmark in urban innovation based on the projection of the business fabric and start-ups.

The presentation of the Hub brought together leaders of Madrid's innovative ecosystem, who learned first-hand about its strategic vision, its operating model and the next steps that will mark its development. The first phase carried out so far was presented, as well as the planning of the next phases based on the Venture Client methodology. This approach is based on the resolution of real challenges through strategic pilots, thus being able to develop a pilot programme with two defined challenges together with the driving companies, in order to validate the model and generate confidence in the ecosystem.

The Madrid UrbanTech Hub is born with a clear vocation: to accelerate innovation in the construction and urban sector, connecting talent, investment and technology to respond to the great challenges of our cities. The Hub aspires to position Madrid on the global map of urban innovation.

This meeting was a first step towards the activation of a platform that will not only transform the way cities are built, but also drive employment, investment and public-private collaboration from the heart of Madrid.
