In compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, General Data Protection (hereinafter, RGPD), Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights, and Law 34/2002, of July 11, on services of the information society and electronic commerce, as well as the rest of the applicable regulations, we make this Policy available to the User in order to explain how we will treat the personal data that we facilitate through this Portal.  

The User is informed and consents to the processing of the data provided while browsing the Portal, as well as those generated as a result of the use of the same, including, where appropriate, the communications of the data that may be made, with the purposes indicated in this section. 

This Portal is designed for users over 14 years of age, except if they browse with the supervision of one of their parents or legal guardians, therefore, if they are not accompanied by them, they must be over 14 years of age to consent to the treatment of their personal information.

2.-What data do we keep?

Through this website, MWCC obtains information about its Users, who provide their data through the various channels enabled. The data that is kept are:  

1. Data collected automatically: 

This is information collected through cookies or similar mechanisms stored on your device, as long as (required by the type) with your consent. Check our Cookies Policy for more information.

  1. Data voluntarily provided by the User:
    • Identifying data (name, surname, etc.), contact data (such as email, postal address, telephone, etc.), as well as the rest of the data provided by the User to through the corresponding form or by sending an email to the MWCC email address provided on the website.

    • Personal characteristics data: MWCC may obtain images of those Users who send presentation videos, publications or press releases that are published on the website. Likewise, this type of data may be processed when they are voluntarily included by the User (candidate) in the cover letter.
    • Academic and professional data (in general, curricular) that the User provides through the forms enabled for this purpose.

    • Business and professional information data.

    • Any other information that is provided by the User through the forms on the Portal.

  2. Data provided by third parties outside the Portal:
    • Third-party images incorporated into the Portal as an illustration to press releases, blog entries or the rest of the Portal’s content.

The User guarantees the accuracy and veracity of the personal data provided, committing to keep them duly updated and to notify MWCC of any variation that occurs in them, since the User is responsible for any direct or indirect damage or loss that may be caused as a result of the breach of such obligation.

3.-For what purpose do we process your personal data and what do we use to do so?

MWCC will process the data that the User provides while browsing and using the website, as well as those collected through the corresponding forms, for the following purposes and with the following legitimations:

 In the event that you communicate personal data of third parties to us, MWCC assumes that the User has the necessary legitimacy to do so and that they have complied with the rest of the obligations established in the current regulations on data protection.

4.-For how long will we keep your personal data?

The personal data provided will be kept for the period necessary to achieve the determined purposes, and based on the following criteria: (i) legal obligation of conservation; (ii) duration of the contractual relationship (if applicable) and attention to any responsibilities derived from said relationship; and (iii) request for deletion by the interested party, in the cases where appropriate. The storage periods for cookies are specified in the Portal’s Cookies Policy.

In any case, the User can request detailed information on the data retention periods applied by contacting MWCC by sending an email to infomadridwcc@madridwcc.com.

5.-To which recipients will your data be communicated?

The list of the 35 most influential architects and engineers in Madrid will be transferred to the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum to be published on their web portals (eg https://www.globalshapers.org/).

To exercise your rights, you must identify yourself correctly and clearly indicate the right you wish to exercise.

Rectification

You can modify your personal data when they are inaccurate, as well as complete those that are incomplete.

Suppression

You may request the deletion of your personal data when, among other reasons, the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

Opposition

You can request that your personal data not be processed. MWCC will stop processing the data, except for relevant legitimate reasons, or the exercise or defense of possible claims.

Limitation of processing

You may request the limitation to the processing of your data in the following cases:

  • While the challenge to the accuracy of your data is being verified;
  • When the treatment is illegal, the User opposes the deletion of their data, and requests the limitation of its use;
  • When MWCC does not need to process the User’s data, but the User needs it for the exercise or defense of claims;
  • When you have opposed the processing of your data for the fulfillment of a mission of public interest or for the satisfaction of a legitimate interest, while verifying whether the legitimate reasons for the treatment prevail over yours.

Portability

You can receive, in electronic format, the personal data that you have provided us and those that have been obtained from your contractual relationship with MWCC, as well as transmit them to another entity.

If you consider that MWCC has not processed your personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations, you may file a claim with the competent control authority, through the website www.aepd.es. However, in order to provide the best service to our users, please contact MWCC in advance through the indicated service channels in order to be able to respond more quickly to your request and clarify any doubts that may arise. It is always MWCC’s priority to provide a quality service to all its Users.

The exercise of these rights is free.

 7.-The information society and privacy

In accordance with the provisions of Law 34/2002 of July 11, on Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce, in the event that the User receives electronic commercial communications and does not wish to do so in the future or give unsubscribe from the promotional communications system to which you have been able to subscribe, you may express such wish by sending an email to the following email address infomadridwcc@madridwcc.com. 

MWCC has profiles on some of the main social networks on the Internet (Twitter, etc.), so it is responsible for the file in all those cases of the data of its followers, fans, subscribers, commentators, etc. The treatment that MWCC can carry out will be the one that the social network allows to corporate profiles. MWCC may inform its followers by any means that the social network allows about its activities, services, etc. In no case will MWCC use the data for other purposes. 

MWCC assumes that the User is informed and accepts the conditions established above if they continue browsing the Portal and, where appropriate, if they press the “SEND” button (or equivalent) found on the data collection forms.
