MWCC was present at the inauguration of the 6th Civil Engineering Week in Madrid. The edition began on September 27 and will be held until October 3 in Madrid with the collaboration of 58 companies and institutions.

The opening ceremony took place in the central courtyard of the Palacio de Maudes (former Day Laborers Hospital) with the participation of the Secretary General for Transport and Mobility of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Mª José Rallo, and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructures of the Community of Madrid, David Pérez; the councilor for mobility and sustainability of the Madrid City Council, among other institutional representatives, sponsors and collaborators.

SICMA21 has the motto “In Madrid, the future has ingenuity” and is aimed at showing how road engineering is contributing to economic and social recovery and improving people’s quality of life.

There has been a circuit of interesting free visits to relevant infrastructures and construction sites whose access is usually restricted. MWCC has participated in the development of the visits to “Remodeling of Plaza España” and “Remodeling of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium”, two transforming projects in the city of Madrid.
