MWCC has participated in the 2021 Plena Inclusión Madrid awards ceremony. The entity has recognized the Dreamers project, CGI, Sandoz Iberia and the Tres Cantos City Council for their commitment and work in favor of the inclusion of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

The award ceremony was opened by the director of Caixa Forum Madrid, Isabel Fuentes, the president of Plena Inclusión Madrid, Mariano Casado, Jorge Alonso, a member of the Autonomous Committee of Representatives of Plena Inclusión Madrid, and Luis Martínez-Sicluna, Deputy Minister of Family Affairs, Youth and Social Policy of the Community of Madrid.

For the first time in this act, a person with intellectual disability intervened. It was done by Jorge Alonso, a member of the Autonomous Committee of Representatives with Intellectual Disabilities of Full Inclusion Madrid, who congratulated the award-winning entities and referred to the struggle of people with intellectual disabilities to participate in decision-making and achieve more social visibility as “a revolution” to which he invited all the people present to participate.
