Arup, the global design and consulting firm for the built environment, joins the Madrid Capital World Association of the World Construction, Engineering and Architecture (MWCC). The Association is made up of more than 120 public and private entities of national reference. Both organizations share the commitment to sustainability as the basis on which to promote the sector in infrastructure, architecture, building, rehabilitation, mobility and, in general, all urban design.

The Madrid World Capital Association of Construction, Engineering and Architecture promotes three main objectives: to promote the construction, engineering and architecture sector in the city and in Spain, to consolidate the international leadership of our companies and to make Madrid visible as the world center of reference in our sector.

Along these lines, Arup has extensive experience in Spain offering strategic advice on different infrastructural and urban developments, positioning Madrid as a benchmark in sustainability, innovation and job creation. Flavio Tejada, director at Arup, points out “We share with the Association the importance of ensuring that sustainable development is at the center of everything we can design and build both locally and nationally. We want to contribute to this alliance by offering more innovative solutions, completely rethinking both the way of conceiving the design, conception and management of cities and infrastructures. ”

David Garcia Núñez, MWCC president “for MWCC, the incorporation of Arup into the Association’s structure is an incentive to continue designing and developing the future of the infrastructures of the city of Madrid and the country”.
