The Community of Madrid, through the Regional Ministry of the Environment, Agriculture, and the Interior, and the Madrid World Capital of Construction, Engineering, and Architecture (MWCC) Cluster Association, have signed a General Action Protocol with the aim of establishing a stable framework for strategic collaboration in the fields of urban planning, land use, and sustainability.

The agreement, signed by Minister Carlos Novillo Piris and MWCC President David García Núñez, aims to promote debate, dissemination, and technical support in the current process of regulatory change underway in the Community of Madrid, marked by the drafting of a new Land Law and the updating of territorial and urban planning instruments.

Through this protocol, both entities express their willingness to coordinate efforts to promote joint initiatives such as professional meetings, discussion forums, training activities, technical studies, conferences, and outreach projects, aimed at positioning Madrid Capital Region as a national and international benchmark in urban planning, sustainability, and regulatory innovation.

El acuerdo refuerza la colaboración público-privada y pone en valor el papel de MWCC como asociación de prestigio científico y técnico, integrada por profesionales y entidades del sector de la construcción, la ingeniería y la arquitectura, comprometida con el desarrollo sostenible, la atracción de talento y la proyección internacional de Madrid.

Este Protocolo General, de carácter administrativo y sin compromisos económicos, tendrá una vigencia inicial de un año, prorrogable hasta un máximo de cuatro, y servirá como marco para el desarrollo de futuros convenios específicos que concreten proyectos y actuaciones de interés común.

Con esta iniciativa, la Comunidad de Madrid y MWCC refuerzan su apuesta por un urbanismo más ágil, sostenible y adaptado a los retos actuales, contribuyendo a consolidar a Madrid como motor económico y región capital de referencia en el contexto europeo e internacional.
