MWCC has been the winner with its project “Sustainable Mobility Madrid” of the “100 most innovative ideas” awards of Actualidad Económica.

The objective is to attract high-tech and innovative companies and startups, together with organizations and institutions in the sector so that they can fine-tune their projects related to mobility in a controlled environment and can verify their technical feasibility and obtain information for their future development. Currently, worldwide, there are only two areas that meet these characteristics, which are in Singapore and California (USA).

The Madrid Mobility Sandbox will also be a tool in charge of facilitating the procedures and efforts of companies that want to put their prototypes out on the streets, speeding up deadlines and processes. This will make Madrid a very attractive point for companies from all over the world and, in turn, will favor the economic development of the district and the entire city.
Through this sandbox, it is expected to create between 3,000 and 5,000 jobs, especially technological ones, and position the capital among the top ten smart cities in the world, generating an investment of more than 300 million euros from of large companies and startups
