MWCC participates in the sixth edition of the Madrid Cities Forum IFEMA 2024
MWCC has confirmed its participation in the sixth edition of the IFEMA Madrid Cities Forum 2024. The sixth edition of the IFEMA Madrid Cities Forum 2024 will be held from 18 to 20 June, with a programme of 32 sessions and the participation of more than 170 speakers, including representatives from more than 50 Spanish, Latin American and Portuguese cities. This forum has a programme focused on planning, circularity and urban nature.
This year, the event will focus on three main axes: the regenerative planning of cities, the management of green spaces and the new paradigm of circular cities.
- Planning as a tool for all urban expressions. The forum will address urban transformation through 21 sessions dealing with topics such as the implementation of Urban Agendas, sustainable mobility and the regeneration of neighbourhoods.
- Green cities for health and resilience. Five sessions will focus on the management of green spaces, highlighting their environmental and social benefits.
- Circular cities: less matter and less energy. Five sessions will present more than 30 experiences in circular economy, addressing topics such as selective waste collection, technological innovation and green finance.
The Cities Forum is a meeting point for the exchange of ideas, projects and visions on the way forward for cities to become more liveable, sustainable, inclusive, participatory and resilient spaces. Its main objective is to provide a networking space both for cities that have already begun this transition and for dozens of organisations working with local governments to make their proposals for change possible.
