MWCC participated in the presentation of the Madrid City Industry Plan 2025-2027, a project promoted by Madrid City Council together with employers' organisations and trade unions, with a budget of €196.2 million and designed to drive economic growth and territorial rebalancing.

MWCC welcomed the launch of this plan, which aims to strengthen industrial activity in Madrid, promote sustainable and competitive production models, and generate stable, quality employment.

The plan is structured around six lines of action and 44 measures, including:

- The creation of new strategic industrial hubs.

- The development of sustainable mobility measures and new lines of transport to work.

- The launch of an Industry Observatory and a technical office to serve the sector.

- The promotion of strategic industrial sectors such as semiconductors, aerospace, automotive and green hydrogen.

- The promotion of public-private partnerships through clusters in areas such as construction, engineering and architecture, logistics and transport, digital health and audiovisuals.

The overall budget of €196.2 million will be distributed across various short-, medium- and long-term actions, with notable items such as €58.2 million for the modernisation of production spaces and sustainable mobility; €28.7 million for energy efficiency and circular economy measures; and €65.6 million for the Industrial Factory Network, the Circular Economy Innovation Centre and the Foreign Investor Support Office.

Madrid currently has a solid industrial base that contributes €12.73 billion to the Gross Value Added (GVA) and employs more than 84,000 people, representing 3.5% of the total number of Social Security affiliates in the capital.

MWCC's participation in this plan reinforces its commitment to transforming the city into a more sustainable, innovative and competitive model, in line with the global challenges facing the industry and Madrid's international reputation as a benchmark in the sector.
