The Madrid City Council and the STEAM School of the European University of Madrid have organised the conference “New sustainable urban developments: new opportunities for the internationalisation of Madrid”, in which MWCC has participated.

The aim of the conference was to glimpse what the future of sustainable cities will be and, in particular, to study what opportunities sustainable urban developments and policies offer to a city like Madrid. Furthermore, it was possible to analyse how this could be relevant in order to establish Madrid as a benchmark for sustainability on an international level.

The conference was attended by leading speakers in the field of architecture, urban planning, urban management and sustainability, and MWCC was represented by David Solla Navarro, general director, who explained the importance of the DUS (Sustainable Urban Developments) as well as the projects implemented in MWCC.

The latest trends in sustainable urban development and how Madrid can become an international benchmark in this field were analysed.
