MWCC participated in the Future Urban Lab conference organised by Capital Radio. Specifically, MWCC participated in the round table Adaptive Urban Planning and Sustainability: The Path to the Future, alongside representatives from Veolia and COAM, both MWCC partners.

We analysed the challenges and solutions for achieving resilient urban environments, examining Sustainable Development Goal 11, which focuses on sustainable and resilient cities. All participants agreed on the need to improve public-private partnership mechanisms, placing citizens at the centre of the transformation.

As a vision for the future, David García advocated ‘an inclusive, socially just city that allows its citizens to live where they want, without being driven out by prices’. The three experts agreed that talent is one of the main levers for the sustainable development of cities, pointing out the importance of listening to the younger generations, who are already adopting different behaviours in relation to mobility and resource consumption.
