MWCC is a non-profit entity, made up of more than 160 public and private units dedicated to urban solutions (mobility, cities, infrastructure, energy…). The entity’s mission is to improve the competitiveness of Spanish architecture, engineering and construction and strengthen the ability to attract talent and investment, to consolidate Madrid’s international position as a world benchmark for architecture, engineering and construction. It is an association promoted by the Madrid City Council and the Community of Madrid, which is an international benchmark for public-private collaboration.

MWCC is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and valuing the talents of people regardless of identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation. Thus establishing a zero tolerance with discrimination.

In the words of the president of MWCC, David Garcia Núñez, “MWCC’s adherence to REDI represents one more advance with the commitment acquired by the entity in 2020, and which is based on a balanced and equitable growth of social, environmental and economic. This alliance constitutes a backbone of a large part of the social projects that we develop”.

For Ízaro Assa de Amilibia, president of REDI and head of Diversity at BBVA, “today a wonderful alliance is born. An agreement that will allow us to work hand in hand to promote good practices in terms of LGBTI Diversity and Inclusion, since only by being diverse and innovative will we be able to continue positioning Madrid and Spain as exponents of people’s rights, so that together we can promote the Spanish Market towards a management of diverse talent of excellence.”

The signing of the collaboration protocol took place on November 11, in the Cecilio Rodriguez Gardens and was attended by the President of MWCC, as well as part of its board of directors and the REDI board of directors.
