  • FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga) will collaborate with the Madrid World Capital of Construction, Engineering and Architecture Association (MWCC) to promote the leadership of Spanish companies in these fields through benchmark events such as Greencities, Intelligence and Sustainability Urbana, and Simed, Mediterranean Real Estate Exhibition

FYCMA (Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga) has joined the Association Madrid World Capital of Construction, Engineering and Architecture (MWCC), which promotes these areas both in the capital and throughout the national territory, consolidating the international leadership of the Spanish companies. In this regard, FYCMA adheres to this initiative as the organizer of leading national events linked to these fields, such as Greencities, Intelligence and Urban Sustainability, and Simed, Mediterranean Real Estate Exhibition, among others.

It is, therefore, about sharing knowledge, experiences and synergies with the more than 140 collaborating and associated entities, including leading technology, energy, construction companies, consultants, universities, public companies and national, regional and local entities, thus promoting public-private collaboration and generating opportunities for these benchmark meetings.

The Madrid World Capital of Engineering, Construction and Architecture Association is a project promoted by the Madrid City Council in 2016. The association is the sum of important companies, entities from Madrid and the rest of Spain that have joined forces to work on positioning the capital and the country as a world reference in three main areas: engineering, construction and architecture; the educational leadership of Madrid and Spanish universities and business schools, and in the positioning of Madrid and Spain as a hub for innovation, sustainability and responsibility. With this participation, FYCMA reinforces its role as a catalyst for economic and business activity through its specialized meetings, also strengthening the potential of the Malaga-Madrid axis as a generator of business and opportunities.

In the words of the president of MWCC, David Garcia Núñez, “the adhesion of FYCMA is key to continue contributing to the attraction of business tourism in Spain, and more specifically in Malaga and Madrid. Spain must continue to be an international business hub”. In this line, the Councilor for Tourism, City Promotion and Investment Capture, Rosa Sánchez, has also spoken, recalling the need to continue generating alliances that strengthen the “national and international dimension of the FYCMA calls” due to their potential to attract “talent and investment” to the city.

FYCMA, which promotes the holding of highly specialized meetings that are unique in their respective disciplines, maintains an express commitment to the construction, engineering and architecture sectors through the organization and holding of events such as Greencities, Intelligence and Urban Sustainability -21 and September 22, 2022- and Simed, Mediterranean Real Estate Exhibition -November 10, 11 and 12, 2022-. In addition, it has established itself as one of the most active trade fair organizers in Southern Europe, specializing in the conceptualization and development of professional events linked to the field of innovation, digital transformation and knowledge generation.
